Yesterday at school one of my 6th grade girls came in crying.  Her little dog had gotten loose the night before and she couldnt find it.  I tried to tell  her that someone would find the dog and it would be returned to her.  She cried and cried all over her test papers.

Later that morning during Language Arts, another teacher at the school came to my room and asked to speak with her.  Amazingly she had found her dog and turned it in to the animal shelter that night! This child didnt even know this teacher or know how she had found her dog.  Boy was she relieved but also very worried that someone would adopt her dog before she could get him.   We called her Mom told her puppy was safe and sound and how to find him.

The little dog was back at his home by noon that day and my student was very happy!!!  She even made a good grade on the vocabulary test!  I still can't believe to strangers happened to be in the same school and saved the little dog.
