Golden Retrievers are originally from England. In England Golden Retrievers were bred and developed as hunting companions. There are two distinct appearance or breed (as you may call it) of golden. The distinction of their appearances depends whether they are American or British type of breed. An American breed (according to the American breed standard) is well proportionate and athletic. It is a very active and powerful dog. The British breed however is not as lanky, and is stockier in build.
Golden Retrievers rescue dogs undergo rigid training. Their desire to do extremely well in obedience trails and please their handlers is a legacy from their hunting background. They are acclaimed for their intelligence and competitiveness.
Training Golden Retriever rescue dogs are not very hard. This breed of dog is genetically hard wired to be patient, obedient and trainable. Start conditioning your dog while they are still young, so when they grow it will be very easy to ease them into training.
Timing is important when you're training your dog. Their system of learning is based on stimulus-response. When your dog does something you don't like, like chewing on your favorite pair of shoes you have to correct him immediately. A dog that barks incessantly needs more love and affection so spend more time with them.
Spending time with your dog is not only relaxing for you but it helps the dog connect to you and eliminates ceaseless barking. Exercise your dog regularly and put him through a dog agility training to further enhance his intelligence.
Dogs are very different from people because they are amoral. Spot the problems on your Golden Retriever rescue dog early so it will be easy to correct them. A dog identifies to your tone of voice. Don't be permissive, loving your dog is good but letting him or her get away with bad behavior will end up to work against your dog. Golden Retriever rescue training is very rigid; so as early as the puppy years break your dog's bad habits.
Golden Retrievers are genetically patient and obedient, but like most people dogs have personalities and temperaments of their own. Letting your dog getaway with all that he wants is cruel. Being a Golden Retriever rescue dog is a tough job. The training is rigorous. He will have a difficult time during training if you do not introduce him to the basics. If you want your Golden Retriever to be a rescue dog, everything depends on you as much as it depends on him. So love your dog but do not be overly permissive.
