If you have finally gotten to the point of fully maintaining a saltwater aquarium it may be time to add some coral, and change your plain saltwater tank into a tropical reef aquarium paradise. Selecting some Tropical reef fish will be next on the list and here are some to chose from.
Hermit Crabs Although they aren't technically a tropical reef fish, hermit crabs are a wise addition to any reef aquarium. In a natural habitat, crabs and lobsters are a type of coral reef janitor, as they keep the water and the coral clean.

When searching for the right hermit crabs don't just go down to the beach and find one. You must make sure that your Hermit crab is compatible with your tropical reef coral and fish.

Here is a short list of some good hermit crabs for you to choose from that are quite suitable to most tropical reef aquariums. The Dwarf red hermit crab, the halloween hermit and the Electric Orange hermit crab. Give em a look see what you think.

Lawnmower Blenny A Nice Addition

There is nothing the Lawnmower Blenny likes better then to eat the string and hair algae growing in your aquarium.

Enjoy Your Golden Tonga Blenny

The golden tong blenny gets his name form his gold color naturally, and is popular with fish lovers worldwide. Golden tonga blennys are plant eaters and frequently dine off the rocks on the bottom of your tank.

While they enjoy dining on spirulina and marine algae, you will want to feed your Golden Tonga Blenny dry seaweed and live micro algae, for they do very well with these.

Electric Blue Red Sea Mimic Blenny

The Red Sea Mimic Blenny is a very beautiful fish that is suitable for any tropical reef aquarium. He grows to a little over 4 inches long eats algae plant life and adds glorious color to your tropical reef aquarium.

The Red Sea mimic Blenny gets his name from the location from which he originates and is not red as you might believe by the name. He is brilliant electric blue with dull yellow stripes running down his back.

You must have a tank of at the very minimum 30 gallons for this fish. You will totally enjoy his company in that he always wears a happy expression, bringing a smile to any face that behold him.
