Care and Feeding

We all know people who have spent thousands to get their pet better once they become seriously ill.  The problem with this approach is that your pet suffers the consequences of poor health.  Why not prevent it? The following are a few basic steps necessary to prevent most serious illness...

Food Animals are adaptable behaviorally, but not when it comes to their natural diet. Commercial pet food is the equivalent of you eating fast food for every meal. A steady diet of empty calories is a primary cause of illness. The sooner you move your pet's diet to quality meats, chicken, turkey, fish... the better. Begin by cooking them extremely rare, then transition to raw. Replace chew toys and treats with raw bones.

Supplements But no matter what diet you choose, pets need daily supplements just as much as we do.  Pet Flora is a human grade probiotic that maintains GI balance, neutralizes acidity and assists in breaking food down so it can be processed and disposed of in a timely way.

Water Pets need fresh clean water that does not contain chlorine. Chlorine is necessary to kill bacteria that causes GI upset, but if not removed prior to drinking, it also kills the good bacteria that we all need to maintain GI balance.

Air We all need fresh air. If your dwelling is tightly sealed the air can get quite toxic. In such situations get an ozone air purifier and open the windows and doors periodically to let the stale air out and fresh air in.  A properly sized ozone purifier can kill and prevent mold.

The better job you do of controlling these few things the better your beloved pets chances of lving a long happy and healthy life. Isn't that what pet ownership is all about?

A Healthy Pet is a Happy Pet!
