Today's random muzing about nothing
So another day has come and gone. I realized on my way home just how much I really enjoy seeing my two dogs when I walk in the door. Our Border Collie we leave out but the younger "pup" is more comfortable staying in her cage.
Now before anyone writes any crazy comments, her "cage" is more like a small home. The dimensions are about 3' X 5' so she can walk around, completely stretch out to sleep, and feels very safe. When she is out and we aren't home nothing is safe from being destoryed!
But back to the original thought here... My dogs go crazy when I come. They always brighten the day and seem to say "Man am I glad your home - we really missed you!".
Anyone who has a dog I'm sure can relate to this greeting. My dear friend Barkley (who this site is named after) would greet me and put his head and and press it against me - seeming to say "Hey ... I really missed you today my friend".
We truly were best friends and I miss him very much. My other two dogs are wonderful and as I said, I can't wait to get home to see them, but there will never be another Barkley.
Well enough for tonight. I hope everyone is having a good week and is looking forward to a good and safe weekend. Take your dog for a walk - it will do both of you a world of good!
