my chicken is very sick

<p>help me! Me pet chicken was a bit lazy one day and didn't eat anything i gave her, i knew she was sick. i gave her worms and slugs and she ate them, but a few days later (today) she was just lying on the ground. i called her but she didn't open her eyes!!! I thought she was dead, then i poked her with a stick and she gave no reaction, after moving her head around, she opened her eyes and then closed them. I am very woried and i really don't want to lose another chicken. i love her dearly! thankyou! she is about 2 years old</p>

I'd like to thank everyone who answered for this question, but my family isn't exactly willing to take a CHICKEN to a vet. Thanks everyone, but my chicken has recently died, it's very sad but i guess everyone has their time when they need to die. Thanks again. - Kendall - 11 years ago

I had a chicken who acted like this after she was scared by a dog. I really hope yours gets better. Mine died after 1 day.

Oooh.. I would definitely try taking her to a vet, not many vets will treat chickens, but I'm sure that yours would, if you explained the situation to them. I really hope she's ok. I have 3 of my own, and lost the fourth one a while back :/ Two years old is much to soon for a chicken.....I read they're supposed to live about 24 years. Hope she gets better!
