Where is Obama's new dog?

So we were teased a few weeks ago that the decision on the new "first dog" was down to two and everyone was waiting to  hear just what the pick would be.  Now we are a few weeks beyond that and still no decision.

Of course to be fair I realize there are some rather pressing issues going on right now with the economy, picking cabinet members, etc. - but also there have been a few vacation trips also (like the recent three day trip to Chicago).

I would imagine the kids are looking forward to getting the dog they were promised so hopefully it will be in the next few days or a couple of weeks.  At this point I don't think we are going to see a dog rescued or adopted which is unforunate in my opinion.  I think the president could have set a get example for everyone that is looking to get a new pet.

Of course it is possible that  we'll see a dog adopted and I hope that is the case.

More to come as we learn that fate of the Obama's new pet...
