A modern designer dog called Cavachon

When it comes to being an outstanding companion dog, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and the Bichon Frise have both proved their worth. So what if these two superb dogs are crossbred? The result then is no other than the Cavachon, a new breed of dog that's slowly making a mark among dog lovers all over the world.

Called as a designer dog, the Cavachon is now popularly seen living mostly in an apartment type of dwelling. Moreover, what makes this dog a top favorite of some people is the fact that its coat is very low shedding. This dog is considered as hypo-allergenic that's why many people with allergies to dog hair and dander choose it as a pet.

Being a new breed, the Cavachon's appearance and temperament may differ from each other as this would depend on what parent breed it inherited the traits the most. This dog possesses eyes that are large and inquisitive and this manifests the dog's superb intelligence. Its fluffy and delicate-looking body is surprisingly athletic and strong that allows it to be active and play with children and other dogs.

Additionally, the Cavachon also looks sturdy, is completely energetic and animated. It is mostly active indoors but can be placid at times in order to spend some quiet time with the master. Outside, this dog needs to be freed in a fenced area or leashed when needs to be taken for a walk.

The Cavachon are known to be friendly with other pets in the house such as cats and other dogs. It is also amiable to children that's why it is suitable as a house pet. This dog is very welcoming to people and would alert the household if a person is approaching the house.

This dog is utterly affectionate, fun loving and gentle; it is best if it can always receive attention and not ignored for long periods of time. The Cavachon is also highly intelligent but training it requires patience and firmness from the master. However, this dog is famous for being not easy to housebreak therefore it is best to train it in obedience and socialization as young as possible.

The size of this breed varies from small to medium and the weight can go from 12 to 20 pounds. Its fluffy and smooth coat can appear in different combinations of colors such as peach and white, sable and white, black and white, red and white, lemon and white, and tri-color, a combination of black, white and tan. Additionally, the tri-colored young Cavachons become lighter when they grow old but the black and white puppies retain their colors up to adulthood.

Cleaning and grooming this precious dog include regular brushing, clipping done by professionals, and regular cleaning of the ears. Its dental hygiene should also be kept in check regularly as it is prone to tooth loss even at an early age. There are also several health conditions that afflict the Cavachon such various skin problems, heart problems, hip dysplasia, allergic reaction to flea bites, and ear infection.
