In order to stay fit and healthy, the Teacup Chihuahua needs a warm and quiet place to sleep. Usually, you can see them playing energetically and then all of a sudden they fall asleep. The sleeping hours usually decrease as they age. Another important aspect is of course exercise. In order to retain good health and sound temperament, all Teacup Chihuahuas need regular exercise. Lack of exercise may impose improper behavioral patterns in Teacup Chihuahuas.

If the dog does not do sufficient exercise it may show problem behavior patterns. They are very happy with continuous affection and a sense of being an integral part of a family. Like humans, they also need companions for life.
