The hypoallergenic Schnoodle as the hybrid result of two hypoallergenic purebreds

The purebreds Schnauzer and Poodle are among the world's most beloved pets so what do you do to have these two lovable creatures all in one extremely adorable dog? The answer of course is crossbreeding and this effort brings us the Schnoodle! From the names Schnauzer and Poodle, the Schnoodle is one of the newest hybrids in the world and it is slowly becoming a star on its own.

This new dog is considered as a domestic dog often it is adopted by families as a pet. This dog may be housed in a city dwelling, a rural home and even in a farm. A wide space is not necessarily required for its activities because it is not very active but not idle as well.

The parent breeds of the Schnoodle come in different sizes. The Poodle comes in Standard, Miniature and Toy while the Schnauzer comes in Giant, Standard and Miniature. It is actually up to the breeder when it comes to the Schnoodle's size but most often, breeders opt for a dog that weighs between 7 to 16 pounds, which is the common range of a miniature dog.

Aside from varying sizes, the Schnoodle can also have varying appearances and characteristics. Some Schnoodles may develop rough and coarse or wiry hair just like the Schnauzer while some may develop softer hair like the Poodle. On certain occasions, it is also possible for the Schnoodle to have a combination of these coat textures.

One distinct feature of the Schnauzer is its dominant beard and so some Schnoodles may develop this too but not as distinct. When it comes to coat colors, Schnoodles may have the color of either the Schnauzer or Poodle breed. This goes to say that the coat color may appear in black, brown, white, grey, apricot and other multi-colors or combinations such as black and white and parti colors.

The Schnauzer and Poodle are well-known to have less shedding coats and therefore, the possibility that the Schnoodle is hypoallergenic is extremely probable. In fact, many people today choose the Schnoodle for this hypoallergenic attribute. To keep this dog's coat beautiful it has to have once a week coat brushing and every two to three months of grooming.

The Schnoodle is highly trainable, very intelligent and wise. It does not bark carelessly and therefore makes a pleasant family companion. This dog is not aggressive and in fact friendly with other animals and it does make a good watchdog.

These dogs are also very loyal to the family, affectionate and are good with children. They are sociable and love to have fun and they mostly excel in obedience and agility. The Schnoodles, additionally, are not only superb family pets but excellent therapy dogs as well.
