How to take care of a new kitten
Taking care of a kitten should be fun. Looking at your kitten you will find a totally helpless creature for the first few days. Your kitten needs care and after some time you will find they grew up into strong, intelligent, and loving cats.
Kittens grow up extremely quickly as in first six weeks there growth rate is at the highest in the entire life period. In this crucial stage there are some things we should not do during this part of a kitten's life.
Kittens should not be given dog food this can result in vomiting or sickness of cat. You should not feed it table scraps either. Liver, canned food and any type of canned fish should be avoided for your kitten. You should feed them only the nourished food and serve them proper milk it is very important in cat feeding.
Socializing is also a part of your kitten care. You can talk, cuddle, and play with your kitten this type of handling will associate positive experience with you and thus helping your kitten to become properly socialized.
With kittens it also matters that what you are allowing and what you are prohibiting when your kitten is playing. It is advised that do not allow your kitten to play with your fingers this give rise to bad habits which may be harmful to you and other people also. You can associate any play toy to play your kitten with.
In the care of your kitten you should also care about what type of toy to play with. In some cases, you do not have to buy them because you can find them sleeping around the house or you can make them. Plastics straw can be the one of toy for your kitten you want. For teething these acts as excellent toy during the early stages of cat's life. Apart from straws, you can have old shoulder pads. Kittens enjoy playing with this also.
What your cat should not play with is also involved in its care. It is advised to avoid giving curling ribbons or loose string elastics. They can get a cat hairball. You do not need your cat going to the vet due to of their toys.
